Stress & Choices
Wednesday, November 30th, 2005These past few days where such stressful days for me. I was ready to get myself a new laptop, I was eyeing the latest Apple iBook, I even called all the re-sellers here in Manila to get their prices and what I could get. I was able to raise the money already. Now if you’re asking why am I so hyped about getting a new laptop? Well, I’m a faculty and all my lectures are in powerpoint format. And my sister said she’s bringing the VAIO that I’ve been using as a workhorse. Actually, I tried to use other not so very heavy toys for my lectures, but it seems that the solutions available are not attainable at the present time. I bought a MARGI Presenter-To-Go for my Sony CLIE but that PDA is old and the battery doesn’t last that long. I tried looking for the SD card version but it’s already out of stock. Now, I can’t find thru local stores the PITCH Duo. Just like the Presenter-To-Go, it’s a solution that would attach the Palm PDA to any projector and I could run my powerpoint slides from it. Then after all these hype, my sister tells me that she’s not bringing the VAIO anymore and instead she’ll be bringing my iPod Nano. So, there goes my reason for getting a new Apple iBook and at the same time, there goes my iPod Nano. Although I think it gave me the opportunity to wait for the 4GB iPod nano to be available locally and upgrade my ailing SE K700. But still, I don’t know if I should go on with getting that iBook and get stuck with my SE K700 for a little longer or just wait for the newer iBooks running on INTEL and upgrade my mobile phone. Oh well, that’s life, lots of choices!
