Faculty Evaluation

Tuesday, August 23rd, 2005

Here I am, all alone in the faculty room, all the other faculties are in their classes. If you’re asking why the hell am I not with my class, well, they’re out there somewhere trying to evaluate me. Hehehehe, personally I don’t give a damn, but hey at least I’ll be able to gauge myself with it. But then again, I think I have gauged myself already after the first prelims. Most of them failed and I think I was so detailed and was giving them lectures at levels they can’t understand at the moment. Anyways, I’m trying my best though to go down to their levels, and hoping that it won’t lead to something I might regret in the future, like getting stuck in their level hehehehe.

Life Is Short

Sunday, August 21st, 2005

Yesterday I recieved an SMS from an unknown number, when I opened it up, it was from the Mom of the "patient" I had way back when I was an ENT clerk. The patient was a 15 y/o, girl who came in complaining of a mass on the left lateral side of the neck. It was an OPD case which turned out to be a Lymphoma case. As a clerk, I never really had enough personal touch with my "patients" since all I was thinking of that time is to finish my stint as a clerk and graduate. Anyways, I had constant communication with this patient thru SMS since I had an inkling that something very bad would happen even before I knew she had lymphoma. Then after sometime of lost communications, I found out that she was having Radiotherapy already in a major madical center. Then after that I totally lost contact with her. I tried calling and texting but getting not response from her. Then the SMS yesterday. Her mom told me that she passed away last year, sometime November. Life is so short, this girl is your typical teenage girl who refuses to go to the hospital for check-ups with her mom, who would rather go out with friends, she’s the type who would rather go to school than go for check-ups. Wherever you are, I’m praying for you!

God bless and we’ll see you soon.

Sincerely,

Willie and Liza

Many Lates

Thursday, August 4th, 2005

Was late today, got to my class at 8:15am, that’s 45 mins late! I’ll be expecting another memo next week most probably hehehe. This week was the only time I think I got my act together, the forst prelims was a storm since I really had no time to prepare for all the lectures and exams that I had to give. Anyways, I am having fun teaching, though I’m not new to this environment, it’s still somewhat new to me, since my 1st teaching job was in a review center. I never realized that it’s that hard to make exam questions, and the hardest part is to make the questions easier and simpler for my students to understand. My class is a 2nd year college and a 3rd year college/1st year Dentistry proper. Lately I was not in any mood to update my blogs, nothing new and interesting has come up either here or in the tech world. See you around guys!
